Bead Blasting reveals the flaws

A rather sloppy connection between the original fender and the repair, sculpted over by body filler

Poor metal along the bonnet lip is usual in the early s600 because there were no drain holes in the lip

The bead blaster leaves tabs of body filler so one can guage the depth of the repair

A very disheartening start to a car that was supposed to be in pristine condition.  Calls went out to all of the Honda s600 contacts and within a few weeks, NOS front fenders were obtained in Japan, a donor car for the rear quarters and tire well came from New York, and Justin began to work his magic.
